EARLY DAYS:

My grandfather from my father's side the late Venkata Subba Iyer, was GM of a Film production Company in Madras State (1940s). From what I gathered from my late mother he was a traveling exhibitor of films. My early days in Delhi were spent in making film projectors/shows in cardboard shoe boxes and impersonating others. I was also a great fan of Raj Kapoor and David Lean and all their famous movies especially Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Dr.Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia and Bridge on the River Kwai. As I grew up I had many ideas to make innovative films.
